FAU-G's Google Play Store listing highlights a fan rating of 3.6 stars out of 5 with many lauding its graphics. However, several users are also unhappy with the gameplay and functionality, saying that the fight scenes get monotonous due to limited artilleries. Meanwhile, the action title is also leading the India-specific Google Play's top free games chart since earlier today, nCore Games announced via a Twitter post. The company has been aggressively promoting the title under the Indian government's 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' (self-reliant India) campaign.
For now, the game has been released single-player with mission mode 'Tales from Galvan Valley'. It is based on clashes between the Indian and Chinese forces on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in the Galwan Valley in May-June last year, in which 20 Indian Army personnel were killed. Mission mode has Hindi voiceovers and stories.
The game, announced last September by actor Akshay Kumar, generated much hype. It was developed by Bengaluru-based gaming studio nCore. The announcement coincided with the PUBG mobile ban in India, which led to a comparison between the two.
FAU-G game is free to download with in-app purchases and optional ads. It has a built-in store where players can purchase weapons such as clubs, axes, and pipes, and recruit highly skilled commandos into their teams with in-game tokens, which can be purchased for real money or reward. As can be earned in the game.
