Krafton and Microsoft to Co-operate as Data Security Focus Points towards PUBG Mobile's Return to India
According to a BusinessWire report, Krafton has given the highest priority to the safety and security of its user data. This claim has been proven through this partnership, as Microsoft Azure provides top security. This collaboration will ensure that user privacy is of the utmost importance. These steps were taken towards data security and privacy amid growing concerns about user data security related to PUBG Corporation. The relationship of this company with Chinese giant company Tencent Games under the scanner for user data security does not help at all. These issues have also led to the ban of PUBG Mobile in India.
PUBG Mobile was banned in September for security reasons.
The Government of India banned PUBG Mobile and PUBG Mobile Lite on 2nd September. These games were banned under Section 69A of the Information Technology Act 2009. Complying with this decision, the official of PUBG Mobile India, in an official Facebook post, announced the termination of all services and user access to the servers of these games across India, starting on 30th October. The move meant a total shutdown of PUBG mobile servers across the country.
In response to this decision, PUBG Corporation decided to withdraw its partnership with Tencent Games, which had the publishing and distribution rights for these massively popular games in India. PUBG Mobile's parent company Krafton Inc. also decided to take over the game's publishing rights. Since the ban, PUBG Corporation is once again exploring ways to make the game accessible to Indian users. Recently, several reliable sources in the PUBG mobile community have indicated that the original version of the game will be launched in the coming days in collaboration with Microsoft. And the news of this partnership between Azure and Crafton only reinforces these claims. However, no official announcement has been made by PUBG Corp. or Microsoft regarding this matter. Fans and players will be really excited and eagerly await the official statement, as the title has a large fan base in India. Comment, what do you think about Pubg Mobile.
